What is the use of Windows Virtual Desktop?

Microsoft Azure-powered WVD (Windows Virtual Desktop) is a cloud-based virtualization service. WVD is a combination of licenses, applications, services, and resources and is used to deliver a multi-user virtualized Windows experience. Here, the Windows system can differ (Windows 10 or Windows 7) as per the user’s requirements.

Windows Virtual Desktop is yet another solution of VDI developed and distributed via Microsoft, directed at enterprises as it specializes in security, data monitoring, and regulations. WVD systems can be implemented on Windows, macOS, or Android using Microsoft Azure as a hosting server. Microsoft officially released WVD in September 2019.
